Orphans of an Angel by Jay Aston.

The Blurb:

Orphans of an Angel, is a tragic, but true story of Evelyn Dalton, aged 42, who struggles to survive, burdened by destitution and deteriorating health. When husband Eddie abandons the family, they are evicted from their home, plunging their lives into anguish and despair. Social Services become involved as the threat of her four boys being taken into care looms as a distinct possibility.

Unexpectedly, Evelyn collapses with abdominal pains and is admitted to the hospital for immediate surgery. The misdiagnosis of symptoms leaves Evelyn in a coma unaware of the perilous danger she faces. The welfare of her boys becomes precarious, but she still remains oblivious. Unable to provide adequate care, her boys are condemned to a Children's Home. The youngest two children spend twelve years of their childhood incarcerated. Evelyn’s four boys never see their mother again as their crisis deepens into a battle for their own survival. Four boys became motherless, fatherless, homeless, and destitute. They lost everything. Their lives were about to spiral further downwards as their nightmare plunges and were not yet over.

My Take:

Orphans of an Angel: A tragic but true story of four boys who lost everything Motherless, Fatherless, Homeless, and Unloved is the debut novel written by the author Jay Aston and its a book that will take you on an emotional rollercoaster.

The book started with an emotional beginning that will touch your heart. The story is based on true events and I m impressed, how the author Jay Aston has captured each emotion through his words that will not only make you feel them but will also keep you hooked to the book.

The highlights of the book are the storyline, the unique and descriptive characters, to which I m sure you will feel related and empathetic. The author has penned the story in a lucid, expressive manner and maintained the smooth flow of the story throughout the book.

I liked how the story moved forward, with pulsating energy. It became instant and more dynamic, and made me curious to read more. The reader is never quite certain what could happen next, creating tension from beginning to end. I can't wait to read other books of the author Jay Aston as his writing skills has touched my heart.
