Author's Interview with Sumanta Barooah.

First, before we move forward with our Authors Interview, I would like to start with an introduction.
1. Could you please introduce yourself to us?
I am Senior Citizen. Fortunately, I had the opportunity to travel extensively around the world. With a personal interest in people, culture, cuisine of the countries I spent time in either for work or for travel, I came across many many people and willingly and unwillingly had enchanting adventures. I believe in people, their origins and culture since I lived with them, rather than seeing from a Hotel window. It had broadened my outlook of life. Now I have the time to write my stories, some memoir based mostly fictional.
2. Congratulations on your book. So what inspired you to write this book?
China is a vast country and the people away from the Megacities are very simple and full of empathy. Religion and beliefs still exist and the normal way of life exists. I met and heard innumerable stories of success and despair in the expansionism occurring in China; mostly sad. People who make it lost their humane nature.
3. What is the book all about?
It is a story about a pastoral girl who is trying to live a normal ordained life but destiny has other plans for her.
4. Why did you choose this genre for your book?
It is about people. And people make this world.
5. How much time did it take to complete this book?
Between planning and writing about 2 years
6. What makes your Book Special?
An insight into Chinese life, their culture, cuisine, history.
7. When is your second book coming?
5th book coming next month
8. While writing did you get any writer's block? What is the Tip that you will give others who are facing a writer's block?
Think of an interesting twist and the block will disappear.
9. Apart from being a talented author, what are your other hobbies?
Travelling, Photography, and Cooking.
10. Last but not the least, How did you feel, while giving this interview?
People must know who is narrating the story, adds credibility to it.
