My Take: 

Ixchel's Secret is the debut novel written by the author Natasha George Patrick and its a mysterious and gripping story. 

I liked how the author Natasha George Patrick has started the story with a simple plot, a man looking for a gift for his Wife’s birthday and accidentally get her an ancient statue that contains thousands of years old pamphlet. Unaware of it worth the story continues into a complete archaeological treasure hunt that is full of historical, mythological, and marvelous adventure along with the beautiful monuments and fact that will truly fascinate you.

The highlight of the book is the way the author Natasha George Patrick has maintained a perfect balance between simplicity and mystery. At one moment you will relate to the characters who are going on a sudden trip but then suddenly you will feel excited when you find that the place that was chosen randomly for the trip is actually the burial ground for the person that resembled the Ancient statue. There are many other moments in this book that will raise your curiosity and keep you on the edge of your seat.

The book is penned in simple but creative English which will keep you interested in the book until the end. The characters are unique and it’s a well-researched book. 

Overall I enjoyed reading this is a unique archaeological and adventurous book. And I will definitely recommend others to read as well.
