The Sunny Adventure: a story about true friendship By Ira Alice

Cover Image

The Blurb:

Mother Fox asked her little daughter to go hunting and get some food for the very first time in her life. The little fox decided to catch the Sun since it looked very appetizing. Going in search of it, the girl had no idea she would meet a little toad Loudcroak who would become her faithful friend. This charming adventure story is filled with kindness, courage, and faith, teaching children how true friendship overcomes any obstacles.

The Story:

The story start with the Redkin sleeping under a rowan tree, enjoying the summery whether, the little fox want nothing but to sleep and enjoy, but it was not possible because her mother had asked her to hunt for the very first time and she decided it's time to give mother something special. Looking at the sun, it looked delicious, So whats better to give mother a delicious sun? On her way to find Sun, she meets a little frog name Loudcroak, who quickly became her friend and accompanied her in search of the Sun, and to have a piece of it. So from running towards the deepest forest, to crossing river banks and overcoming the fever, from river to the middle of the cabbage field with delicious thick scent, the little fox and frog moved forward. Showing a great example of friendship and courage. So will they be able to get sun for her mother? Or will the story end with disappointment?

My Take:

Amazing, to describe the story in one word. The book is very cute and the pictures of the little fox and frog is what made me think that I was a kid too. Author has described every part in detailed manner, from whether to forest, from animals to their characters, everything was well written. Also I like when the little fox realizes the the frog is meant to be her food and not a friend, but she has her mind set that nothing can come between friendship. And as every children book has a moral of the story, this book has too. It's friendship that we should support each other, and if we do that we can overcome any obstacles in life. Friendship is pure and innocent.

Overall loved the book and would recommend to give this book to your children, Niece and Nephews or simply should be read in school to teach the your young ones about true friendship.

Birth of a Duo By by Chandrayan Gupta

The Blurb & Story:

Aditya Gokhale – a cynical, skeptical, reluctant teenager, and Radha Bose – a hard-working, professional, determined private investigator, end up working together. Their first case is to figure out whether the death of a television actor’s son is a suicide or murder. With Aditya’s personal life in disarray, and Radha dealing with her own demons, will they be able to put their differences in personality aside and work together? Will the partnership crash and burn, or will it be the birth of a duo?

My Take:

Starting from the start, I love the Aditya’s character. His personality is uniquely described as a sarcastic, a bit rude, down to earth, blunt, and yet with a great sense of humor. I just couldn’t stop myself from smiling or clucking on his dialogue and comments. Birth of a Duo by Chandrayan Gupta is a unique book, it's not a love story but a Mystery solving Thriller. There are few times when Author talked about depression, loneliness, new generations logic, and how everyone was losing thyself in Social Media. I liked the way he expressed the issue of social media. I also like the way chapters are written from both perspective, from Aditya view as well as from Radha's, it’s a very clever work done by the author. Once I started reading, I couldn’t stop myself from completing it. I finished reading the book within a day. Loved the puzzle and clues too. The book has described the bond between two different individuals, both have their own ethics and way of looking at the world. Even with their differences, their bond grew stronger and respectful. The message that no one can help you better than yourself is what makes the book perfect.

Overall, the book is very interesting and will definitely recommend other to read it, to solve the case of suicide or murder? With Aditya and Radha a unique duo.

More Unfairy Tales By T F Carthick

The Blurb:

A knight rescues a damsel in distress. They marry, the whole kingdom rejoices, and everyone lives happily ever after. The end.
Or at least that's what Official sources say. But what tales do insiders tell? What secrets lie buried deep inside Davey Jones' Locker? What, dear reader, about The Unfairy tales?

The stories the Knight-in-Shining-Armour and the Damsel-in-Distress have never wanted you to know. Tales which Fairyland had kept locked up in secret and thrown away the key. Until our rogue bard went back in time and ferreted out skeletons hidden within secret cupboards of desolate mansions. Our fearless crusader of truth and justice brings to you the second volume of revelations from fairyland. You will find five more unfairly tales hidden within the pages of this tiny tome, the sequel to Carthick's Unfairy Tales. Stories of elves out to decipher the ways of men and dwarves seeking to reclaim their own histories. Of spurned witches and lost wolves. These stories are going to change everything you have ever believed about fairyland and give you a peek underneath the gossamer threads of glamour and magic peddled by the Fae.

The Story:

There are 5 stories based on the side characters of the most famous fairytale.
1. From the Fairytale of “Snow White and the seven dwarfs,” the story version is written with the point of view of 7 Dwarfs.
2. From the Fairytale of “Beauty and the Beast”, the story version is written with the point of view of The Witch.
3. From the Fairytale of “Little Red Riding Hood,” the story version is written with the point of view of The hungry Fox.
4. From the Fairytale of “Rapunzel,” the story version is written with the point of view of The Witch.
5. From the Fairytale of “The Elves and the Shoemaker” the story version is written with the point of view of The Witch.

My Take:

Have you ever wondered what did the 7 dwarfs thought in the fairy tale of “Snow White and the seven dwarfs”? Yes, this book is about the side characters of the most famous fairytale from our childhood. I love fairy-tales, I basically grew up watching and reading about them. Reading this book reminded me of my childhood. If you look at the book cover, you will probably think it’s a children’s books, but trust me it’s not and you will enjoy the book very much. Every story is more interesting than other and the sense of humor of the Author is what blown my mind away. I like what the Author said “If all evil people are ugly, by corollary everyone assumes all ugly people are evil.” It just touched my heart. I never really gave a second thought about the side characters but after reading this book I can’t seem to stop wondering about it. I also liked the twist that the author gave at the end of every story, and as the Title says “More unfairly Tales” well once you read it you will agree with the Author.

Overall liked the book very much and would recommend everyone to read it to find the mystery of the side charters.

The Story:

It's a story about a girl who gets a crush on his big brother's friend when she was just 14 years old. Arjun and Natasha become friends later when he leaves for the Army, they exchange letters for 3 years. It's almost her 18th birthday when Arjun finally comes back from the Army to meet her and his best friend. Seeing him she is happy but more scared to have a feeling for him. So once the stalker is caught will they finally be together? or it's just a duty call for Arjun and he will never feel anything for his best friends, little sister?

My Take:

The story is simple and great. The way Author has developed characters it was simply great. The story is not a fictional fantasy that can only happen in books or movies, I could see it happening in real life. It was relatable. And the romance scenes, it did make me blush and it was relatable too. I also loved the side characters, Tanya and Niel. But it was a bit confusing because at first she was just crushing over him and then in next, she was crying because he went to meet his family for marriage, and he comes back, then they were engaged, it was confusing at first then I just found out that this is the 2nd book, and the first book is all about Tanya and Neil, they have an entire book of their own. That is the first in this series and is called 'Seduced by Mr. Perfect'. When you read that book and then this one, you'd get it.

Overall the ebook is great and you should definitely read it. Fully recommendation for those who are looking for some mystery and love story.

It is the beginning of a war; anachronistic-technology against the primitive. Primitive beings who know more than fighting with just weapons..

The Story:

After the Great War, Kison felt like he just lost, seeing the death that took over after of the War, This was not something he was looking forward too, so he took a decision that will change everything. Being a God have its own merits like along with the strength he also knew everything, from the past that already happened to the future where things will happen, from the start of the universe to the end of it. Kison had to do something to save mankind from this reality, he knew the consequences but still, a tough decision was made to change the course of action. So a fight against the time, an era of advance technologies against an era of God and Demon, Will it be a fair fight? Will the future change and a new timeline be created that even God has not seen it? Will they win the war?

My Take:

The names of the characters are changed but you can still relate them to it from Mahabharat. The author has described everything in a very detailed explanation. Once I received the book, I was curious about the way the author will write about the future tech and about God. To my surprise, everything is well written and the images in between the chapters help you a lot to imagine the Bulky Bheem or the Heroes of the Wars. The story-line is simple and interesting at the same time. Nowhere along the chapters, I felt bored or uninterested; From start till the very end, it had my all attention. The twist at the end is awesome and I like the way Author will continue in his next book. Can't wait to read the other book. Loved the concept and the ending.

Overall, I loved reading the book and would definitely recommend others to read it, to witness the war between past and future. Will it Chance the course of Mankind? Click on the link to purchase the book Heroes:

KAVACH OF SURYA By Surendra Nath

Image result for kavach of surya by surendra nath
The Blurb:

Karna could never have lost the final battle to Arjuna had he not given away his Kavach (armour) and Kundal (earrings) that were a gift from his father, Surya. The armour rendered Karna invincible against any foe. We are in the 21st century. What if someone can find that armour today? Vasu, a resolute man, sets out to retrieve the Kavach-Kundal. To guide him Karna himself turns up from the past. The hunt takes them to the Himalayas in the North, Dwarka in the West, Rameshwaram in the South and Konark in the East. And at each leg, they have to surmount hurdles of catastrophic proportions. And Vasu is not the only one interested in this quest. A dubious character gets on Vasu’s trail and casts traps on his path. The young and charming Sahar, a marine archaeologist, joins Vasu to help him in the race. Join Vasu and Sahar in this thrilling adventure to know why the armour was all that potent, and if it still exists

The Story:

Kavach of Surya is a story of the powerful Armour that once belonged to Karna; son of Surya. The Armour is known as Kavach Kundal. It's a mythological story, where you will find many facts and legends of Indian History.

The Story is about a man; Vasu and his believe in Karna; his idol. He wants to find Kavach Kundal that is centuries old or maybe even more. The main motive to find the Kavach is to bring the balance between evil and good. He believes that its time to find the Kavach, as the one who wears it will be the person who cannot be defeated, and Vasu thinks that he is the person who can restore the balance and who is also worried if someone else; neither less if a terrorist comes in the possession of this kundal then world could be in great danger.

As the Kavach Kundal was a part of the mortal world, Lord Indra was not allowed to enter heaven along with it, so Lord Indra hid the Kavach Kundal in the mortal world; India with great protection. The story continues with the introduction of 9 Chiranjeev; The Immortals. To start the quest for Kavach Kundal, without any map or script to follow, Vasu decides to meet the Guru of his Guru Karna, the first Immortal Parashurama; the teacher of Karna. It is not easy to find the immortal, it's not like they will be standing beside you, or wait maybe they are. We never know, Lord can show himself in any form and anyone. So after finding the clue to go to Himalayas, from his Guru Parashurama, Vasu started his journey to North to the icy mountains.

After the long journey he finally found a piece of the Kavach Kundal, he never realized that Lord Indra had divided the Armour into pieces and hid them in different locations. At the icy mountain, Vasu got it's first part along with a scroll engraved with a map to find the next piece, which lead him to to the south of India, between Sri Lanka and India. He met the second Immortal there and with that, he realized that he wasn't the only one looking for the Kavach Kundal. After an epic adventure, Vasu gets the next clue and lands at the location of the lost city of Dwarka; the city lost in the sea.

After nearly losing his life Vasu finds the third piece, but he is disappointed when he finds only half of the Kavach Kundal, which meant he needs to find one more. So will Vasu find the fourth and final piece without any clue? Will it be more difficult to find than the last one?

My take:

If you are a first-time reader, you should know this is the second book of the Author Surendra Nath.
The starting two pages will confuse you, it will tempt you to stop and read the first book,(you can always do that) but as Author promised this book stands on its own. So as I read further, trying to keep up with the character, And as promised I found myself lost in the book. After the first chapter, I was fully aware of the Characters and where the story headed. From the magical realm of Immortals in Icy mountains to the legend of the Mythical creature Yatis, I could imagine them all, as I read the book. After finding the first piece I thought that everything is just so magical, like mind reading and telepathy, I assumed that the rest of the book will be the same, easy to find the pieces now by using these powers, but to my surprise when Vasu reaches South, he finds that the famous Scientist was kidnapped and he chases the bad buy like any other hero that we watch in a movie. Seriously I was impressed by the way Author described the whole scene and it seemed more logical than magical. Coming to the third part, the most mysterious location, the underwater city. I gasped as I read the word Mermaid, and it grasps my full attention from there.

So from Icy Mountain; North to the Isthmus islands between India and Sri Lanka; South. To South to the Lost City of Gujrat; West. From west to the temple of Puri in the East. It was the Journey not only Vasu took, but along with him I did too.

What I loved the most in his book apart from being magical and full of legends, is the Character Vasu.

I always found myself emotional when it comes to believing in God, I m a believer and follower of Lord Shiva, So whenever I visit a temple any temple I join my hand and close my eyes, I imagine the god standing in front of me and he his blessing me, automatically my eyes are filled with tears and I know that now I'm at peace and I feel spiritually awaken. So while reading this book I found the same feeling, When Vasu met the Immortals ones, he got down on his knees and address them with more respect, bowed his head. Each time Vasu bowed his head my eyes were filled with tears with the same belief of the god.

Apart from these, you should read the book because it is filled with adventures and Mythological creatures and also to simply learn about some of the Legends and Facts of our country.

So overall I loved the book and the author has done a great job and I could see the hard work and you will too when you read the last line of the book. I definitely and with assurance will recommend to read this book to find the kavach Kundal on your own with Vasu and Karna; the son of Surya.

Love on the Everest By Deepthi Ayyagari

The Blurb:

Snow-capped mountains and peaks that appear precarious to folks who prefer the solid comfort of level-ground, are like home to me! I am Siddharth. My parents would have probably been okay had I turned to the forests seeking nirvana like the Buddha. But I have turned to the mountains to seek solace; or adventure, depending on how you look at it. The mountains are my home. They are my paradise. My parents wanted me to leave my adventures, marry a girl, and ‘settle down'. I'm not sure what that means, but I understand their love. So I obliged them by getting engaged to a girl of their choice, but fate had other plans for me. During my mission to climb Everest, I fell in love–with my Sherpani, the woman who was my guide on the treacherous

climb. Fate, however, is not satisfied playing games with me. It wants me to deal with more. Much more! I don't know if I will ever climb Everest. I don't know if I will ever win my Sherpani. But I know that I MUST. Even though life has taken a drastic and unimaginable turn…

The Story:

The story is about a mountaineer Siddhart and his love for climbing mountains. The story starts with passion that Sid shows towards climbing from the childhood. And as he grows the passion for climbing grows along with him. All his life the only thing that he loved or wanted was to climb mountains and was happy to love mountain rather than any other girl.

And being a only child, his parents worried about it and just like any Indian Parent would do, they forced him (Emotionally blackmailed him) to get settle down and leave the passion behind of Climbing. So the stories continues, and how Sid requests to climb Everest for the last time before marriage and there’s that he finds his true love that chances the way he looked at life. And how his passion grows again to not only love mountain but to love his Sherpani too.

My Take:

It took me only half a day to finish this novel, once I started reading it, I couldn’t stop myself from finishing it. I loved the way the Author has described Siddharth’s passion for climbing and, how it was not just about climbing for name sake or to benefit with it, he just loved climbing for himself as he got the thrill in the adventure. I could feel the worries and concerns that the author showed through Siddharth’s mother and I could relate to it too.

I was not expecting a poem, but there it was described wonderfully and the personal note at the end, touched my heart. The most beautiful part of the book was, when Dohna explains Sidharth what love is. The way she says that love can only be felt by heart as the language of love is not words; it made me smile.

I also like the way Author explains the growth of passion of climbing to passion for love. How it can change you forever, even if you are not together.

The book made me smile, laugh, worried and in all made me imagine the beautiful icy Everest.

Overall I loved the book and would recommend other to read it, to find how the story ends, is it with him that he finally being able to climb Everest along with his love? Or he just give up his passion for Love?

Kali Yuga & The Divine Plan by Srinath Shrothrium

The Blurb:
This is an excerpt from Srimad Bhagavata Mahatmyam describing the glory of Srimad Bhagavata. Bhagavata is the Philosophy of all Philosophies. The best to accomplish success. There is nothing that is not in one’s reach if one hears or reads or narrates Srimad Bhagavata with attention and devotion.

The Story:
The story starts with introducing Birth of Kali and its previous life. Short story of Two Old Children To The Young Mother; Bhakti and her two childher Jnana and Vairagy, who were affected by Kali Yuga. THE DIVINE PLAN; the importance of the holy book Srimad Bhagavata. The main objective of the Author is to spread the knowledge of Srimad Bhagavata. By reading it, one can be well prepared to fight with inner lust, anger, greed, attachment, pride, jealousy influenced by Kali and become a more balanced soul.

My Take:
I started reading this book as a request for a review, but as I stared reading it, I found myself lost in the book and I continued reading because I wanted to know what happened next. I’m a follower of Lord Shiva and believer of God. The way the book of Srimad Bhagavata is described perfectly, it’s no doubt that the Author is trying to spread the word and making his readers to start believing in it too just like him, to awaken the inner Bhakti by not just reading Srimad Bhagavata but also to remember Lord in your own way. I love the way the Author has described Lord Krishna, as I read my eyes were filled with tears and I felt peace within my heart. I have always found myself at peace, whenever I think or god and when I pray, today as I read the book I felt the same spiritual wave of blessing and making my believes stronger in God. The short story of Bhakti and her sons was described beautifully along with Lord Vishnu's and his appearance; I could really imagine him in my mind.
Overall I loved the book and would definitely recommend other to read it to find the beginning of peace from within.
