Beautiful, Frightening, and Silent By Jennifer Gordon

The Blurb & The Story:

Adam, a young alcoholic, slowly descends into madness while dealing with the psychological scars of childhood trauma which are reawakened when his son and wife die in a car accident that he feels he is responsible for. After a failed suicide attempt, and more group meetings that he can mention. Adam hears a rumor of a Haunted Island off the coast of Maine, where “if someone wants it bad enough” they could be reunited with a lost loved one. In his desperate attempt to connect with the ghost of his four-and-a-half-year-old son, he decides to go there, to Dagger Island, desperate to apologize to or be condemned by, his young son. Adam is not sure what he deserves or even which of these he wants more. While staying in a crumbling old boarding house, he becomes involved with a beautiful and manipulative ghost who has spent 60 years tormenting the now elderly man who was her lover, and ultimately her murderer. The three of them create a “Menage-a-Guilt" as they all come to terms with what it is that ties them so emotionally to their memories and their very “existence”.Beautiful, Frightening, and Silent is a poetic fever dream of grief, love, and the terrifying ways that obsession can change who we are. Jennifer Anne Gordon is a professional ballroom dancer by day and a curly-haired neurotic writer by night. She is an actor, a traveler, a photographer, a lover of horror, and a dog mom. Beautiful, Frightening, and Silent is her debut novel.

My Take:

Beautiful, Frightening, and Silent is the debut novel written by the author Jennifer Gordon. After reading this book I was not only impressed but it also made me feel all the emotions of the character that the author has expressed.

This book is filled with hope, grief, loss,  struggle, ghosts, love, and I have never read any book close to similar to this. A very unique and soulful story. The author Jennifer Gordon has described the characters by keeping in mind their loss and grief which is very impressive. All the characters are unique and have their own backstory that will make you emotional and you will find yourself lost in the book.

The Story starts with a paranormal scene that ends with a suspense and continuous with the character Adams's life where he is struggling with Alcohisim and grief, the grief for the loss of his wife and only son. Similarly, the author has created the story-line with different characters' perspectives and giving us a detailed insider of their life & emotions.

The book is written in easy to read English along with a twist of suspense that will keep you interested in the book. Even though the book contains paranormal scenes and characters, at any point of time I didn't feel creepy, I strongly felt more interested in reading the book.

The main highlight of the book that I personally liked is the storyline of each character, I liked the belief of people having hope, and most of all no matter what you face in life you are not alone there are always others who will be there with their own grief and loss. And the way the author Jennifer Gordon has described emotions are soulful.

Overall a fantastic book with suspense paranormal not scary but Goshty and unique book that will keep you interested till the end. So click here and read now the book Beautiful, Frightening, and Silent written by Jennifer Gordon.

Beeti Yaadein by Vikrant Roy

The Blurb:

Beetein dino ki yaadein kise pareshan nahi karati. Har insaan inase joojhata rahata hai. Agar ye yaadein bechain karane wali ho to diqqat badh jaati hai. Aisi hi haalat hai meri. Meri zindagi mein ek aisa din aaya tha jise main bhool kar bhi yaad nahin karana chahati magar der saber main use yaad karane par majboor ho jaati hoon.

Kya hua tha iss din mere saath?
Aur iski yaadein kyon mujhe pareshaan karati hain?
Jaan ne ke liye aaj hi padhein, “Beeti Yadein”

The Story:

Uska apne pati, Mahesh ke saath rista achcha hai. Uski jindagi mein koyi pareshani nahi hai. Usko bas ek hi baat pareshan karti hai aksar. Aur ye baat us din se judi hai jab vo gaanv mein gayi thi apni NGO ke kaam se. kahani ki asli shuruvaat yahi se hoti hai.

Gaanv mein uske saath uski sahkarmi bhi hoti hai. vo dono gaanv ki aurton ko shiksha ke faaydon ke bare mein jaankari dete hain. sham ko jab Kavita apne ghar ke liye nikalti hai to raste mein ek sunsaan sadak par uski car kharab ho jaati hai. vo ghabra jaati hai khud ko sunsaan sadak par akela pa kar. bahut der tak vo dari sahmi car mein baithi rahti hai. Jab andhera chhane lagta hai to ek dehati yuvak aata hai vaha cycle par. vo us se madad maangti hai. madad ke liye to vo raaji ho jaata hai magar badle mein aisi shart rakh deta hai jise manana kisi aurat ke liye assaan nahi hota. iske baad puri kahani isi baat ke aas paas ghumti hai ki kavita apni car theek karva kar kaise us sunsaan sadak se niklegi. Aur iske liye use kya kimat chukani hogi?

kahani bahut hi kaamuk tareeke se likhi hui hai jo apko kavita ki tarah bechain kar degi. Aap khud ko uske saath sunsaan sadak par phansa mahsus karenge.

My take :

Vikrant Roy ki Beeti Yaadein abhi kuchh din pahle hi parkashit hui hai. Jab maine is pustak ko padhana shuru kiya to maine kabhi nahi socha tha ki yah kitab itani aakarshak aur rachanaatmak hogi. Main iss kahani mein kho si gayi thi aur lekhak ne jis tarah se kitaab likhi hai, vah bahut hi shaandaar hai. Isse padhte hue bahut se saval uthte hai man mein , jinke javab ye book padhne ke baad hi aap mahsus kar paayenge.

Ye kahani bahut hi saral bhasha me likhi gayi hai. Jisse kahani ki bhavnaye aur bhi ubhar kar aati hain.

Ye kahani sambhog ke upar hai jisme ek havshi ladka ek aurat se sambhog karna chahata hai, aur usse saudha krta hai, jisse padh ke apko bhi maza aajayega. Toh kya ye sambhog ho paata hain ki nahi? Agar ha toh Kaise?

Sampoorn, Ye vaakai mein ek dilachasp story hai. Aur agar aap aisi kahani padhne me dilachaspi rakhte hai toh aapko yeh book jarur padhni chahiye. Toh click kariye yaha aur abhi padhiye ye pustak Beeti Yaadein likhit Vikrant Roy dwara.

The Blurb & The Story:

This story about a working girl, who is careless about her career and do not care about herself both in her personal and professional life. One such a day when she rushed to her office and something happened which leads to a series of consequences.

My Take:

This book Droplets: A Real-Time Horror Story written by Arunayan Sharma is a very short story that the author has created to raise your interest and curiosity.

I like the way the author Arunayan Sharma has written this story in an impressive way that captures the attention completely and you will find yourself lost also you would want to read more.

Even though the story is short but from the description of the character to building suspense, everything is written impressively. The only thing that I didn't like was that the story finished too early and I wanted to read more. But no issues in that as the author has many more books so I can read them:)

To Guard with Love by Roberta Bombonato

The Blurb:

A puppy is cute. A puppy is a laughter. A puppy is a joy. Simone needed the unconditional love only Enomis could provide to alleviate the constant heartache, pain, and fear permeating her life. How can a puppy save a woman from an abusive relationship and help her find the right kind of love? With heart.

My Take:

To Guard with Love written by Roberta Bombonato is 3rd book I'm reading of the author and yet again I'm just speechless with her creativity.

A very unique book I have ever read. The book is written by the perspective of a dog narrating about his life and the human friend Simone

The story starts from a labrador dog name Enomis introducing himself and narrating about his life, where he first lived before meeting his now owner Simone. How he first met Simone, a beautiful girl with a vanilla scent.

The dialogue between characters, the storyline, the narrative everything is in a smooth flow and lucid language. By now I'm convinced that the author Roberta Bombonato is a professional writer and can capture anyone's attention by her writing skills. I'm not only impressed but also mesmerized.

Coming back to the story, I just loved the story. It's enjoyable and loved the small details that the author Roberta Bombonato has described beautifully, like when the dog says "I growled and wished I could bite him. Simone smoothed down my hackled fur." it made me smile. There are many more such scenes that will make you aww and will bring smile on your face. A well-crafted book.

The highlight of the book is that, even though the story is written by the perspective of a dog, but the author has described human characters perfectly and expressed emotions gracefully. The story is a blend of love, friendship, the struggle of life, care, affection. And if you start to read the first page I'm sure you won't stop until you have finished reading.

Overall, a very unique and amazing book with impressive writing skills. I will definitely recommend others to read this book or gift this to your loved one with a pet. Click here and read now the book To Guard with Love written by Roberta Bombonato.

Whispers from the Dead of Night by Lee Allen

The Blurb:

A journey through fog and darkness, destination unknown…
A sexual obsession spiraling out of control…
A forbidden love…
A killer who preys on the lonely…
An investigation into a haunted monastery…

A night-time escape through the forest…

Seven tales of mystery and the supernatural for a winter’s evening.

About Book:

The book contains 7 phenomenal stories filled with mystery, suspense, paranormal, supernatural, thrilling, chilling that will keep you hooked to book till the end.

My Take

Whispers from the Dead of Night written by the author Lee Allen. He has written many other extraordinary books that I'm sure you will love.

I have not read many horror stories and when I started reading this I had no expectation of what to expect or what will happen, but as I finished reading the stories one by one the experience I had was mind-blowing. I love the balanced writing of suspense and the trailer.

When you watch or read a horror story, in the back of your mind you know something is going to happen that will make you gasp. And every time you think this is the time it turns out to be not and when you least expect with the bang it shocks you. Hahaha.

The same surprise level of this book is awesome. As intriguing the title of the book is I found it perfect match to the stories as they were interesting, the stories balance all emotions in one without being in melodramatic. Each story brings a different flavor of horror which engages even those who are uninitiated to the genre.

Stories are scary in their own way. The book combines paranormal things with fiction, Science, and mythology, so well that you will not be able to keep the book down.

Read this and go on an adventure with paranormal stories each of which is unique on its own.

Overall it's a Masterpiece of seven stories that have closely guarded suspense which takes you to a different world of paranormal. Highly recommended for readers who don't hesitate to chart into unknown territories. So click here and read now the book Whispers from the Dead of Night written by Lee Allen.

Who Stole My Time? by Sunil Mishra.

The Blurb & Th Story:

Are we using our smartphones today, or our smartphones are using us?

We would certainly like to believe the former but unknowingly we slip into the latter category. If by reading this story, we can critically examine our relationship with social media and reset it, the objective of the book would be partly met.

Satvik, Sandeep, and Ashok are three college friends meeting in Goa after a 25-year gap. While reminiscing about their college days, they discuss the craze of social media these days. They chance upon an idea of creating ‘Paybook’ – a new social media app that pays the users for their engagements. The app becomes an instant hit. This, however, also unfolds a series of events that take the friends to the unchartered territories.

My Take:

Who Stole My Time?: Reclaiming ourselves from the Social Media trap is the first book I'm reading of the author Sunil Mishra. And after I finish reading I can't seem to stop thinking about the fact that these aspects of social media and many of these insights that the author has written has a huge impact on me.

Author Sunil Mishra's thought behind this whole concept is amazing and Impressive. The book basically shows the current scenario of using smartphones and social media around the world and its impact on us in our day to day life. The story revolves around various topics of new social application, the difference of life before and after the smartphone, the struggles, decisions, and it also seems that author Sunil Mishra has done a great amount of research to write this book and has beautifully presented his thoughts and his intentions in front of us with this book.

Characterization of the stories is impressively done. The book is written in lucid language, making the book amazing and inspiring. The moment I started reading, I found the storyline to be written in a very creative, catchy way, and in a well-crafted manner. The 3 friends meeting after 25 years and discussing about the internet. It was really fun, too and the title is perfect and suits the story perfectly.

Overall I would like to say that one should definitely read this interesting and inspiring book and I am definitely recommending it to everyone. So click here and read now the book Who Stole My Time?: Reclaiming ourselves from the Social Media trap written by Sunil Mishra.

An Unbreakable Family by Roberta Bombonato

The Blurb & The Story:

Marvin and Carmen's marriage is fantastic. Giovanni, their son, is a lively boy who can hold his own against bullies. Akemi, their adopted daughter, is 18 and struggling to find herself. The past affects the present and the future in a big way.

How can she move forward without knowing the whole truth and trust the parents she has come to love? Digging for answers alerts the other side and forces Marvin to come out of retirement.

Uniting against domestic terrorists might be better than therapy for: AN UNBREAKABLE FAMILY.

My Take:

An Unbreakable Family is a 2nd book in the Family Tree Series written by Roberta Bombonato and she is back with another thrilling story.

As I started to read this book, I found the story impressively written along with the creative plot and the imaginative writing style that are both very catchy.

Just like the first book even this book is exciting and interesting to read. All the characters are well crafted and the chapters with each character's vision are written very clearly and makes the story unique.

The continuous of the series, and the way the author Roberta Bombonato has made developments in characters, are well-crafted in the lucid language makes the book amazing.

The highlight of the book is the storyline that has different elements and emotions just in the right amount balancing perfectly. This book is filled with love, friendship, romance, intimacy, struggle, family bond.

Overall I loved reading this book and the series as it will keep you hooked throughout the book. I enjoyed reading this story so if you are looking for a gripping story and a new series to start then click here and read now the first book An Unconventional Family and click here to read the second book An Unbreakable Family, in the Family Tree Series written by Roberta Bombonato.

Dragon Knight Chronicles Book 3: The Hunted by Andrew Wichland

The Blurb & The Story:

The Mines of Morhoth may be behind them, but Robin and his friends will never forget the horrors they saw there. Now, they must travel the stars to reunite their scattered village. Space is vast, but the tyrannical Black Dragon’s eyes are all-seeing—Robin knows they can’t be too careful. But hope remains. Robin’s heard that his fellow villagers have taken refuge in the shadowy Tortuga, a once-abandoned space station rumored to harbor the fledgling resistance. Even if these rumors are true, getting in will be difficult—but if Robin can convince the outcasts and fugitives of his strength and noble intent, he and his beloved sister Freya can finally begin searching for their long-lost brother. But the hunt won’t be easy. Guided by their dragon tooth necklaces, Robin and Freya lead their people across the galaxy, eventually finding themselves on a desert planet, tied up in the downtrodden citizens’ fight for clean water. The Black Dragon’s men are everywhere, but Robin can’t let these people die…Dragon Knight Chronicles: The Hunted is the latest exciting novel from celebrated storyteller Andrew Wichland. An innovative retelling of the Robin Hood myth, its tale of friendship, honor, and heroism is a must for fans of sci-fi and fantasy alike.

My Take:

The Hunted is the 3rd book in the series of Dragon Knight Chronicles written by author Andrew Wichland.

I would say that the author has taken great precautions in spinning the story into a series and dividing it into events that makes the series enduring.

If you like dragons, aliens and would love to take adventures to new planets than I will suggest you to, believe me, and read this series now, that defines the success of the author Andrew Wichland.

The continuous story-line of this book The Hunted has lots of twists and turns, along with surprise character visits and reveals which makes it a compelling read.

This is the 3rd book I'm reading of the series and I think it could probably be made into a movie as the movie plot would perfectly fit for it.

I can bet that once you start reading the book, you will not put it aside until you finish it as the characters are unique and exciting with grasping story-line.

Read this novel which has been written with intricate details making use of all the characters in an effective way, coupled with some unexpected events and unexpected personalities.

Though the novel is written in a series of books, I felt that it was bit short story, as I wished to read more. But on the other hand, this was very much required without which a proper justification for the story wouldn't have been done by the author Andrew Wichland. And I have next book in the series to read :)

Overall A series that you wouldn’t want to miss. Click here and read The Hunted the 3rd book in Dragon Knight Chronicles series. Click here for book 1 The Awakening and click here for 2nd the Blood Calls books written by Andrew Wichland. And click Book 1 & Book 2 to read their review.

Book 2 of the Dragon Knight Chronicles takes readers on another wild ride through the world of Robin and the Dragon Knights, deftly melding fantasy and science fiction in a way that fascinates the heart and satisfies the mind.

The Story:

The story continues with Ryuu who is now known as Robin, is with his friends and remaining villagers trying to think of a way to get out of hyperspace. Once the plan is set, they land on a strange trade planet, where buying and selling happens for other people.

As soon as Robin saw her, the young girl turned her head and fixed her eyes on him and in an instant Robin knew she was his sister, as the resemblance between them was obvious. Giving a tracking device to Willa, Robin leaves his friends and family to rescue his sister, but in a process to get her rescue, Robin gets captured as a slave too. In a way to protect his sister, Robin is again captured and has been sent away from her.

So from traveling from one planet to another to rescuing and protecting his sister, who is also the 6th member of the Knight Dragon. From fighting with Back Dragons to space war with 8 space ships.

My Take:

Blood Calls is the 2nd book in the series of Dragon Knight Chronicles written by author Andrew Wichland.

This is the second book that I m reading of the author Andrew Wichland, and as I have already said in my earlier post, even this book is very addictive. As I started reading this book, I found it difficult to keep the book down, as the story is so intriguing that I just wanted to know what happened next.

Author Andrew Wichland has described everything from fight scene to meeting his sister for the first time, from dancing moves to war, everything is described in a very minor and detailed manner also the lucid language makes the book impressive. The storyline is exciting to read and as we move forward in reading the story becomes more and more compelling.

The highlight of the book is the fighting and action scene which I enjoyed reading. Also, the continuous storyline is awesome, engaging, unique and different from other books.

I found this book very imaginative and creative. And I m sure the 3rd and final book in the series Dragon Knight Chronicles will be just as great as this book.

Overall, a very impressive book with dragons and mindblowing adventure also definitely must-read series. But before you go ahead and read this book, I would suggest you to first click here and read the first book Dragon Knight Chronicles Book 1: The Awakening, and once done I'm sure you can't wait to read the second book for that click here and read the Blood Calls: Dragon Knight Chronicles Book 2, the books written by Andrew Wichland.

Written in verses, the poetry takes to the human experience of life and the basic quest of understanding how life works and why... Knowing God's mind..

My Take:

Kurukshetra: God In The Time of COVID is the third book written by Amar B. Singh. And he is back with more powerful and enduring poems, that will not only touch your heart but will also express emotions that somewhere even you must be feeling.

Reading poems by Amar B. Singh has always been a delightful treat. That not only makes me feel the emotions that he expresses but also makes me connect to it.

The book starts with a preface where the author & poet Amar B. Singh shows us the reality that happened when COVID started, from ignoring to denial, from making jokes till facing consequences and the reality of it. And how he has written this book giving it a spiritual touch to his poem by adding his favorite childhood book Kurukshetra into his own book. Then the book continues with the Prologue an introductive poem and followed by uniquely written 10 poems are basically chapters of one story.

Kurukshetra: God In The Time of COVID is a book with a story said in verses. Continuous just like in Bhagawad Gita, Arjun asks questions and Krishna answers and lets him know the truth gradually. The book is the most unique, more powerful, soulful, compelling, religious, truthful, hopeful, and full emotion written in an impressive way.

The highlight of the book is that the verses are written spiritually and also give us hope, that in these tough times we need to stay strong. Also, the author & poet Amar B. Singh has done a clever and creative work in this book Kurukshetra: God In The Time of COVID.

Overall, must-read poems with a perfect balance of religion and current situation. Well expresses and impressive poems. So click here and read the book Kurukshetra: God In The Time of COVID by Amar B. Singh.

Adventures of Poorna by Mayur Kalbag

The Blurb & The Story:

Adventures of Poorna is a mythical voyage of the young, self-driven and adventurous protagonist, Poorna. It is about his vibrant journeys that are interspersed with intensely intriguing, inspiring and enchanting experiences, escapades and almost heart-stopping explorations, some of which transpire even beyond planet earth, and all this with an amazing culmination towards probably a new beginning! A truly scintillating story with illuminating imaginations where Poorna explores lakes, mountains, sages, weird and wonderful creatures as well as aliens through his interplanetary travels. The book constitutes an indelible dosage of tantric spirituality and cosmic energy, intrinsically inspiring you, the reader in getting glued to the fluently flowing story. As you keep moving through the chapters, trust me, you would rather it not end.

The Story:

The story begins with a young man named Rudra who finds himself lying on the ground covered in snow with no memory of how he is reached there. Walking through the snow he realizes he is among the Himalaya Mountains. Soon he reaches a cave where he finds a monk meditating, who strangely tells him that he has been waiting for long for him to arrive.

From a very young age Rudra has been a spiritual person, from learning meditation to chanting mantras with the Japa mala. And as he was sitting in the cave, he strongly feels as though he knows this Yogi too. Interestingly, it is in the same cave that Rudra is made aware of his past life and that his more than just ‘Rudra’! He accompanies the Yogi or whom he addresses as Guruvarya and the seven disciples towards the waterfall.

Thus begins Rudra’s journey from a forested area of the mountain, to across a few shallow rivers and then through the snow to cover the distance of various landscapes. From drinking of the pink juice to inhaling the vapors and eating wild herbs meant to specifically satiate hunger.

The mystical ritual beneath the lake where he connects with many of his previous lives only to realize that he is one of the monks who has taken birth many a times and that his true identity is Poorna. Later after his reunion with the seven disciples who were actually his friends from previous lives. Another turning point happens when the Guruvarya instructs Poorna to undertake a journey to meet his real Guru, who has been waiting for his return since a long time. So the other journey begins towards the Skhandayan cave in one of the mountains of the Himalayas to meet his Guru. This journey turns out to become an adventurous trip with a map drawn on a rare leaf that bites if not taken permission before plucking. A map that is uniquely created with a thorn that oozes black ink once press to the leaf.

During the trip, Poorna faces many challenges namely his encounters with the bloodsucking creatures to carrying caterpillars as compass! Through this trip, Poorna also learns many new things that he had not experienced even in his past lives such as getting trained on the technique of Ghoorghoor-Aghori meditation and then a powerful ritual for becoming invisible. Poorna also is taught about planets and about Alien entities, some of who are neither eels nor snakes. Poorna also is made to learn about the extremely rare living being known as the ‘Down’ people living beneath the mysterious well known as the ‘Virat Vihar’. He finally reaches the Skhandayan Cave and meets with his Guru, known as Nath Guru.

Asking questions like, “Why did I have to learn so many techniques and what is my purpose that nobody seems to have the answer to?" It is later that Nath Guru reveals to him about the greater purpose to fulfill and the reasons for Poorna being the right choice.

And, so the next journey begins with the higher purpose of the chosen one.

While in the cave Poorna undergoes training on many more techniques as well as extremely rare but intriguing rituals to prepare himself prepare for the upcoming mission. So the story continues from Mantra Japas to powerful marathon meditation, learning Astral flying from the unique spiritual being known as Yogi Koumounsa, (an alien Yogi from Mother Earth, the largest living planet in the solar system). From taking a swim in the lake known as Mansarovar to chanting mantras in snow. From learning the art of flying without a body to flying with a body and many more life-threatening rituals including getting his head punctured by a large crow.

This adventurous story of Poorna also has different creatures such as the flying fish and especially the vicious ones such as the venomous spiders, large reptiles and his encounters with the humungous Naga and the extraction of the Yantra Mandala from the its body.

The book also includes Poorna’s escapades through varied and dangerous forests, enchanting lake and awe-inspiring waterfalls. The entire book is filled with mystical and magical and almost unbelievable adventures not only on earth but on some other distant planets.

Many unknown and unique tribes are also mentioned in this book along with many other planets in detail about their culture, their life, animals, and humans.

During his journey, Poorna also meets the greatest Yogi of all in the universe, the one and only, Lord Shiva. It is there that Poorna comes to know his real purpose.

So what is the greater purpose of Poorna? Why he has to learn so many techniques and has gone under so many rituals to become the chosen one? Why he is the chosen one? What is the purpose and his mission? What happens next? Will Poorna complete his life's journey to fulfill the purpose that he is chosen for?

My Take:

Adventures of Poorna is the debut novel of Mayur Kalbag. And I have never read a book with such a compelling and impressive story that never seems to stop.

Starting from the start, the book is written in a lucid language that makes the adventure easy to imagine and easy to feel the magic. Yes, the story is magical and the way the author Mayur Kalbag has written this book, you will feel magical in each and every chapter. There are 83 chapters and each chapter is unique and more impressive than others. The story is written in a smooth flow, and even though the book is a bit long, at any point of time I didn't felt like it was dragged.

The highlight of the book apart from the intriguing storyline is the extraordinary and exceptional writing skills of the author Mayur Kalbag. The detailed description of other planets and almost everything makes this unique and attractive. The adventure of being Poorna, to beliefs in Alien, this book has a perfect balance of god and aliens, just a wonderful read. A truly astonishing book with beyond appraisal work.

Sniper's Eye by Mainak Dhar

The Blurb:

I was out on a date. Everything was perfect… Till that shot… a high-calibre one, no apparent sound. And, the man in front of me fell. A rifle with a suppressor? A sniper in the middle of a Mumbai mall? As the body count mounted, I was soon sucked deeper into the chaos unleashed by that shot. To survive and save those whom I care about, I have to become the man I left behind. I have no choice but to tap into a bloody past that has put me on the terror kill list. I may also have no option but to join hands with the sniper terrorising Mumbai. The problem is that the man has sworn to kill me. In a world where the young and poor kill and die in conflicts started by the old and rich, I and my unlikely companion finally discover the thin line that separates a mere killer from a hero. This is our story…

The Story:

The story starts with Aditya an ordinary person working in the company GRS international. Even though not being a social person, he gets close to his colleagues Zoya. Zoya finds him interesting and thus a crush develops as they started spending time together.

Later one day they planned to go to the mall to watch a movie but they didn't know or had any clue about the day, that was going to turn up to be the worse day of their lives.

As they were in the mall out of blue an incident happens and a person is shot to death in front of Aditya. Being shocked he tries to verify what actually happened, and after a moment starts to find out from where the shot was done. After realizing from where the bullet came Aditya finds the person who killed that man with the sniper. In order to catch him, Aditya ends up killing the man and in that instant police assume him guilty and arrests him for killings.

After being arrested the police start to tortured him, for answers and after a few hours of investigation, the police came to the conclusion that Aditya is in fact, telling the truth and he is not the killer.

After releasing from police custody he had no idea that his life was changed and he will be called a hero. Television & Media started appeasing him and reveals his past which he never wanted to share, and never thought that it would surface like this.

There was a serious reason that Aditya had been hiding his past for so many years. It was to protect the people living around him and didn't wanted them to be in danger. But now he wants to clear his record & save the love of his life; Zoya.

So who is Aditya? What is his past? What would be his next step? Will he join the police force by ignoring his past? How this will end?

My Take:

Sniper's Eye-One shot, One kill is the first book in the Seven series, written by Mainak Dhar.

The story starts with a bang just like in any movies & it will hook you up till the end. I loved Aditya's character who is so powerful and ready to do anything for the country. As I read this story I found myself connected to it on a personal level and could feel all the emotions that author Mainak Dhar has expressed.

Mainak Dhar has given us a brilliant piece of story to read that is not only interesting but also has an attention-seeking story-line. The book is written in simple English and inflow, making the story more attractive and likable.

This story also gives us a reality check, that trust no one but yourself & fight for yourself. Also if you want to change your surroundings you should be one to start it.

The highlight of the book is that the story is filled with surprises, twists, and heroes and villains along with the moral values. Also, I loved the continuity of the storyline and I am really excited to read the second book Sniper’s Debt next.
