Author's Interview with LaToya N. McCray.

First, before we move forward with our Authors Interview, I would like to start with an introduction. 

1. Could you please introduce yourself to us?

Hello. My name is LaToya N. McCray. I am a publisher and author for L. Love Publications residing in Wilson, North Carolina of the USA. I am also 32 years old and enjoy being an author. The genres that I write are urban fiction and romance. My passion is writing. Plus, I had written one fantasy short story. I had been writing every since I was in college and when I started working in retail. 

2. Congratulations on your book. So what inspired you to write this book?

I had written many books, so I don't know which one you were referring. So, I will discuss my favorite "R&B Swagged Out," which became a 5-star read very quickly. This book was written for the love of R&B music. I just enjoy music and I am a major fan of this R&B star Sammie. This book was created on the inspiration about many male R&B artists based on the lyrics of their music and all down to fashion of a male, R&B artist. I wanted this book to be successfully written and be more realistic. Instantly, I met my goal, which I am happy about. 

3. What is the book all about?

"R&B Swagged Out" was all about an R&B artist that was very complicated. First, Shawn had commitment issues and he was a cheater. The secret of the book came out in the middle whereas Shawn had commitment issues because he was abandoned when he was a child, which Shawn had woes in his relationship. He even had problems with other women as well. This book is so drama-filled and it's like a roller coaster when reading. Plus, Shawn had problems with his friendship with another R&B artist named Dru.

4. Why did you choose this genre for your book?

I think romance is so entertaining and it's a popular genre.

5. How much time did it take to complete this book?

This book had taken a very long time because I had to deal with some personal issues, but I always move forward into completing this book. I had this drive. I never wanted to give up and not publish this book. I knew this book was going to be great. I wanted this book to be a great read. 

6. What makes your Book Special?

This book is special because R&B Swagged Out is so realistic and the characters are realistic as if their dialogue would jump from the page. I even had a book review stated that this book was different from what he or she had read and he or she loved the characters. Mainly, I focused on developing the characters in this book to make a great story. 

7. When is your second book coming?

I am thinking in late August. 

8. While writing did you get any writer's block? What is the Tip that you will give others who are facing a writer's block?

No. I didn't get writer's block. As an author, I always do an outline and just to brainstorm the storyline before writing a book. Trust me it would be a fantastic book. 

9. Apart from being a talented author, what are your other hobbies?

I love to sing, workout, and do some reading.

10. Last but not the least, How did you feel, while giving this interview?

I love doing interviews and enjoy meeting new people.
