The Dark Tides by Mark Piggott.

The Blurb & The Story:

The Drake family has known more than its share of the tragedy at sea. After the devastating and mysterious loss of their patriarch, Bryan, to a strange storm, his grieving wife and children sail to his last known location to lay a wreath in his honor. They are caught in a storm freakishly similar to the one that took Bryan from them. A funeral becomes a joyous reunion, as they find him alive and well but equally stranded on the mysterious island of Avalon, where the descendants of King Arthur rule a world filled with knights, elves, dwarves … and magic!

Lord Bryan MoonDrake—as he is now known—has attained the rank of the Gil-Gamesh, protector of the realm. He helps his wife and two of his children build new lives in medieval society. His daughter Ashley has returned to Avalon with wonderful news. Bryan sees an opportunity to bring his family back together at last, so they plan a grand Avalonian wedding for Ashley and her true love, Andrew.

But all is not well in the kingdom. Dark forces arise to fulfill a prophecy to resurrect Morgana le Fay, the most powerful sorceress in the history of Avalon. If successful, she will unleash the Dark Tides to destroy the line of Pendragon once and for all. To save his family, his new home, and his king, can the Gil-Gamesh overcome incredible odds and powers beyond his comprehension to rid Avalon of Morgana’s evil forever?

My Take:

The Dark Tides is the 2nd book in the Forever Avalon series written by Mark Piggott and this book is something unexpected.

The story is continuous of the first book, and the way the author has maintained the flow of the storyline it's commendable. Author Mark Piggott is a talented writer and you can see his hard work and passion for writing through this series. A truly amazing and must-read book.

In the book The Dark Tides the story continues with the struggle to care, from love to marriage, from complications to escape, from more mystery to unending journey, from adventure to life beyond the realms, from protector to the slayer, the book is the most gripping and astonishing story.

The highlight of the book is, the grasping storyline, as soon as I was done reading the first book I couldn't wait to continue reading with the next book.

The author has done tremendous work in describing characters, from their feeling to their personalities, every bit of their nature is described in detail and expressed beautifully.

Overall the most recommended and adventurous series. Click here and read now the book The Dark Tides the 2nd book in the Forever Avalon series written by Mark Piggott.
