Author's Interview with Ramiro Nicodemus Alexander-Duchesne.

Author interviews
First, before we move forward with our Author's Interview, I would like to start with an introduction.

1. Could you please introduce yourself to us?

My name is Ramiro. I’m and English teacher and author.

2. Congratulations on your book. So what inspired you to write this book?

I spent five years researching conspiracy theories. I wanted to synthesize my research into a science-fiction story that would encapsulate the essence of several different theories. After five years and several failed manuscripts, I finally wrote Beyond the Sky.

3. What is the book all about?

After an enigmatic fracture appears in the skies above Antarctica, Dr. Benjamin Hendrix must save the world he despises so vehemently.

4. Why did you choose this genre for your book?

As Ouroboros said in Loki season two, “science fiction is a well respected and thought provoking genre.” Sci-Fi has always been my favorite genre. I knew that if I’d ever write anything, the genre would be Sci-Fi. Sci-Fi encompasses so many facets; dinosaurs, aliens, robots, and of course, conspiracies. What’s not to love about Sci-Fi?

5. How much time did it take to complete this book?

It took me roughly a month to outline the book and about three weeks to write it. As aforementioned, however, I spent five years conducting research for this book.

6. What makes your Book Special?

Beyond the Sky is special because it explores a conspiracy theory that is rarely explored in literature. I am hoping to delve deeper into other conspiracies in the near future.

7. When is your second book coming?

The second book might come next summer. I’m working on several short stories that are being published on Medium. I’m hoping to compile those short stories into a small book. I’m also outlining another novella that will be the sequel to Beyond the Sky.

8. While writing did you get any writer's block? What is the Tip that you will give others who are facing writer's block?

I hit writer’s block quite a bit. I always went back and re-read what I’d written and then figured out multiple route my characters could take. I’d map out each route to see where they could potentially end up. Once I’d settled on the direction in which they should go, I was able to work through that writer’s block rather easily.

9. What are your other hobbies besides being a talented author?

I also play the guitar, I read, go odd-roaring, and camping as often as I can.

10. Last but not the least, How did you feel, while giving this interview?

I felt excited about the number of readers this could reach in the hopes of getting more people to experience my book.
