My Take: 

Boons & Curses is a book that has been translated into many languages and is the debut novel written by the author Yugal Joshi. And reading it brings back the memory of watching Mahabharat, full of magical and intriguing. 

The story starts with the tale of 5 Pandavas and it's a story of a time when God walked among humans. While reading you may be familiar with the story but the narration and detailed descriptions makes it more interesting. The author Yugal Joshi has impressively expressed the emotions and smooth flow of the storyline.

I liked how the author Yugal Joshi has developed and managed the time phase of the story, at some point, the narration moved directly to the end scene and at another point the narration went through each scene, making it a perfectly balanced story. 

The description of characters, the backstory, the portray of different personalities are written uniquely and with grace by the author Yugal Joshi. He is a talented & skilled writer and you can see his hard work through this book. 

So take your favorite hot beverage, sit by a window, and read this amazing book, I guarantee you will be transferred to an era with kings, politics, kingdoms, gods, a magical period that you will never forget.
