1. Could you please introduce yourself to us?

My real name is Jacqui Sawyer. I am 42 years old. I live in Aylett, Virginia. 

2. Congratulations on your book! What inspired you to write it?

I have friends who are gang members, and I wanted to show that not all of them are bad.

3. What is your book about?

My main character, David, who is a gang captain, is raising his younger sister. He is also a paramedic. He falls in love with his neighbour, Rochelle, who is also raising her sister, Danielle. When David's sister, Cadence, becomes ill, David finds himself in prison and finds his faith. 

4. Why did you choose this genre for your book?

I just had an idea

5. How long did it take you to complete the book?

about a year 

6. What makes your book special?

It has multiple layers, love, fighting, faith, and many different themes. Plus, more books will be coming.

7. When can we expect your next book?

I am working on a new novel currently

8. Did you experience writer’s block while writing? What advice would you give to others who face it?

work on another story and clear your mind, and then let it come to you.

9. Besides being a talented author, what are your other hobbies?

I like to sing, paint and do diy crafts.
