Author's Interview with Beth Pellino-Dudzic

Before we dive into our exciting conversation with today’s remarkable author, let’s start by getting to know the creative mind behind the diverse and captivating stories.

1. Could you please introduce yourself to us?

My name is Beth Pellino-Dudzic, and I am an Author. I am almost finished writing my six-book series called the Perfection Saga. A story that is a spicy romance mixed with the world of Rock and Roll. The books have some of my and moments in my real life. But it is fiction.

2. Congratulations on your book! What inspired you to write it?

I had this story in my head for over 20 years. Over the years, the story would come to me in bursts. About a year and a half ago, I was actually cleaning my house. The story started running through me in color. The characters started to come alive. This is no joke. I turned on the shower and the story started running through me. I got my computer and said Today is the day I start writing. My dream was to write. I actually have 3 other stories that want to jump out. I'm not done with Perfection, so they have to jump back on the bookshelf.

3. What is your book about?

It is set in the mid-1970s and 80s New York Club Scene. Which I was involved in. It is what it takes to make it back then to just get a record deal. I weave a powerful love story between the two main characters. It's their journey and the rest of the band. Their families play a role in the story. It also depicts the roller coaster ride of fame. How much of your life are you willing to share with the public? That is the other side of fame. Additionally, the pitfalls, drugs, alcohol and fidelity come into play.

4. Why did you choose this genre for your book?

I love romance, and I had a beautiful love story to write. All my books are love stories.

5. How long did it take you to complete the book?

What I thought was book one took me four months. My editor told me I had two books. I haven't stopped writing this series. I believe a bit over a year. However, I have books 3,4 and 5 already written. I guess I am very verbose. Actually, my books are very dialogue-driven.

6. What makes your book special?

Spicy true love and beautiful characters. Also, the love of music. I don't remember a time that music wasn't important to me. I wrote lyrics for every book; I have about 16 songs written. At the end of each book is a Playlist that is dedicated to that book.

7. When can we expect your next book?

Early 2025, it's going to come around March. It's called Playing Rough.

8. Did you experience writer’s block while writing? What advice would you give to others who face it?

Everyone asks that; I have had the opposite. I cannot stop writing. When you know where your story is going, it's hard to stop. Because the story lives in me, it is very easy for me to keep writing. I would just tell writers to let their story come to you. Don't press it.

9. Besides being a talented author, what are your other hobbies?

I am a very good cook and baker. I sing, although I am trying to get my voice back in shape. My daughters aren't a hobby, but being around them gives me so much joy. They are all grown, and we sincerely love being together. I am a big sports fan, mostly of football. Love football. Also, clothes shopping.
