Author's Interview with Brandy Renea.
1. Could you please introduce yourself to us?
I’m Brandy Renea, a passionate writer dedicated to crafting stories that inspire hope and unity. My background is rooted in a family of service, with a father who was a Vietnam veteran and a police officer. As a mother of three beautiful children and the grandmother of a fantastical little boy, Levi, who inspired my character for this book, I draw from my experiences and my love for my family to fuel my writing.
2. Congratulations on your book! What inspired you to write it?
The inspiration for Levi and Rex "The Journey Through Destruction" comes from my grandson. Seeing the world he will grow up in and the challenges it faces, I wanted to create a story that embodies hope and resilience. The book is a reflection of my desire for a better world for him and future generations.
3. What is your book about?
The adventure begins in a universe torn apart by destruction. Governments crumble, and worlds collide, unleashing chaos as monsters and otherworldly beings are thrust upon Earth. In the midst of it all is a boy—just a kid—with a loyal monster by his side, standing up against the destruction. He’s not a superhero, but he carries something far more powerful—hope. His journey isn’t just to find his family; it’s to heal what’s been shattered. To do that, he must travel through the *Book of Realms*, meeting mythical creatures and collecting ancient artifacts that hold the key to defeating the evil leader, Baldamore.

5. How long did it take you to complete the book?
The process took about a year
Writing Levi and Rex "The Journey Through Destruction" was a way to cope with personal challenges and to channel my emotions into a story that would resonate with others. It was a journey of its own, filled with both struggle and reward.
6. What makes your book special?
What sets Levi and Rex "The Journey Through Destruction" apart is its blend of heartfelt storytelling and fantasy adventure. It’s a tale of a boy and his monster, facing not just external threats but also embodying the hope and love that can mend a broken world. It’s more than just a story; it’s a testament to the power of perseverance and unity.
7. When can we expect your next book?
I’m currently working on the next sequel to this book, and while I don’t have a specific release date yet, I’m excited about continuing to share stories that inspire and uplift. Stay tuned for updates!
8. Did you experience writer’s block while writing? What advice would you give to others who face it?
Yes, I did face writer’s block at times. My advice is to stay patient and keep writing, even if it’s just a few words a day. Sometimes stepping away for a bit and coming back with fresh eyes can also help. Most importantly, remember why you started writing and let that motivation guide you through the tough times.
9. Besides being a talented author, what are your other hobbies?
In addition to writing, I enjoy spending time with my family, engaging in community service, and exploring new art projects. I find inspiration in the world around me and in the people I love.

I felt a mix of excitement and gratitude. It’s always a pleasure to share the story behind Levi and Rex "The Journey Through Destruction" and to connect with others who appreciate its message. Thank you for the opportunity to discuss my work!
