Author's Interview A R Vikram

First, before we move forward with our Author's Interview, I would like to start with an introduction.

1. Could you please introduce yourself to us?
I am A R Vikram. I am a homemaker, based in the United States. My debut novel is SAMUDRAN: The Extraordinary Journey of an Ordinary Man
2. Congratulations on your book. So what inspired you to write this book?
Thank you. I have always been fascinated by ancient tribal cultures. In the constantly changing modern world, the tribes that still exist today are our real connections to human beings and their ways of life from thousands of years ago.
3. What is the book all about?
The book is about the morality and ethics of infringing upon a culture against their wishes. It is a very gray area. I also wanted to highlight the age-old theme that evil only wins when good people do nothing about it.
4. Why did you choose this genre for your book?
As a reader, I have always liked books that are constantly moving, where the plotline is constantly evolving. I didn't consciously choose this genre. It just sort of fell into place. But it worked out perfectly.

5. How much time did it take to complete this book?
I can't give a definite answer, since there were times when the writing process was fast and furious, then there were times when there were really long breaks. But it definitely wasn't a short project.

6. What makes your Book Special?
I am sure to every author their book is special, even if for no specific reason. I will, however, add that I couldn't find many books that took on these themes (tribal welfare, social justice, philosophy) written in these formats (Action, Adventure, Romance). Not saying that there aren't any, just that I hadn't come across any at that point.

7. While writing did you get any writer's block? What is the Tip that you will give others who are facing writer's block?
Take a break. It is a cliched answer, but it works. Remember that if the break is too short, it won't be enough to clear your mind, and if it is too long, you will lose your flow. You will have to figure out the optimal length by trial and error.

8. What are your other hobbies besides being a talented author?
Music and Reading.

9. Last but not the least, How did you feel, while giving this interview?
It is a great opportunity to be able to share some aspects about myself as an author with my readers.
