First, before we move forward with our author's Interview, I would like to start with an introduction.

1. Could you please introduce yourself to us?

My name is Melissa Woodrow, I'm 51, I'll be 52 in a few weeks. I have 2 children who are 23 & almost 22, and I've a grandchild.

2. Congratulations on your book. So what inspired you to write this book?

I've been writing poetry since I was 12 years old, and short stories from the age of 16, I decided that it was time to write a book about 15 years ago and started working on a few ideas but nothing panned out until this one.

3. What is the book all about?

I've loosely beaded the book on my life. The main character escapes a life of abuse by rubbing away from her abuser, but finds herself in the run for the next 5 years. Every time she feels she's safe, the men chasing her catch up to her and she runs again. The last time she runs, she take a ship bound for America where she contracts the plague, she manages to live through it, but her life is forever changed by the disease. She is told that she needs to find a tropical climate to live in order to be strong. She takes the Dr's advice and heads for an island she was told about on board the ship. Here she meets her future husband. He promises to keep her safe from her father, and there running stops.

4. Why did you choose this genre for your book?

Christian fiction seemed to be the best for this story, because of the faith aspects that are entwined into the story.

5. How much time did it take to complete this book?

10 years

6. What makes your Book Special?

It's part of me, every word written is a piece of my imagination, I love to tell stories and write and writing this book tells a story of the survival of an abuse victim.

Within a year

8. While writing did you get any writer's block? What is the Tip that you will give others who are facing writer's block?
