About Book:

Love is the aria of the soul.

Charlotte Sapori has led a wonderful life, safely tucked in the bosom of her family. Her mother, Irene Adler, is a renowned opera singer, while her father, Lucca Sapori, does important government work that frequently takes him away from them. Charlotte is close to her older brother, Nicco, and they are both doted on by their parents. All is well until her mother receives an unexpected diagnosis which shakes the family to its core.

Knowing herself to be dying, Adler confesses to Charlotte things that have long been kept from her, telling her to find and read her diary. A distressed Lucca Sapori tells his daughter to read his as well. And by the way, Lucca Sapori is not his real name. In fact, she may have heard of him—he is actually the world-famous detective, Sherlock Holmes.

Charlotte finds both diaries and plunges into the hidden world of Irene Adler and Sherlock Holmes as she discovers what brought them together, and how they managed to stay together for thirty years despite having to battle the odds.

My Take:

Song For Someone by KD Sherrinford is a thrilling mystery novel that takes readers on a captivating journey through the world of Sherlock Holmes and Irene Adler.

Sherrinford's writing is engaging and atmospheric, drawing readers into the world of Victorian London and the intricate web of clues and red herrings that make up the mystery.

The characters are well-developed and believable, with Holmes and Adler's chemistry adding an extra layer of intrigue to the story.

One of the book's strongest points is its attention to detail. Sherrinford clearly did their research, and the historical accuracy and period-specific details add depth and richness to the story. The book also explores themes of love, loss, and loyalty, making it more than just a typical detective novel.

The plot is well-crafted and keeps readers on the edge of their seats until the very end. The pacing is excellent, with just the right amount of twists and turns to keep the reader guessing.

The book also includes several subplots that add to the overall complexity of the story without detracting from the main mystery. It is an excellent start to the "Sherlock Holmes and Irene Adler Mysteries" series, and I look forward to reading more from this talented author.

Overall a well-written and enjoyable mystery novel that will appeal to fans of Sherlock Holmes, Irene Adler, and historical fiction. Click here and read now
