Through my knowledge and experience, I help people better understand themselves, develop emotional intelligence, and lead a more fulfilling and mindful life.

2. Congratulations on your book! What inspired you to write it?

Thank you so much! The inspiration to write "How to Make Your Children Hear You" came from my deep desire to help parents build stronger, more effective communication with their children. I’ve seen many families struggle with misunderstandings and communication barriers, which can affect both the parents and the children.

As a Certified Expert in Child Psychology and someone who has worked with families on a personal level, I noticed that the challenges many parents face are often rooted in a lack of understanding about how children process information and emotions. I wanted to create a resource that would provide practical tools and insights to help parents not only be heard by their children but also to truly listen and connect with them.

The book is a blend of my professional experience, research in child development, and a passion for building healthier family dynamics. Ultimately, it’s about empowering parents with the knowledge and skills to foster more meaningful relationships with their children.

3. What is your book about?

My book, "How to Make Your Children Hear You," is a practical guide designed to help parents improve communication with their children and strengthen their relationships. It offers insights into the unique ways children think, feel, and respond, allowing parents to better understand their child's perspective.

The book covers: Effective Communication Techniques – Practical strategies for speaking in a way that engages children and makes them more receptive. Active Listening – It emphasizes the importance of listening with empathy and understanding, not just reacting, so parents can truly hear and connect with their children. Emotional Intelligence – How to teach and model emotional intelligence, which is crucial for children’s development and for maintaining a positive parent-child relationship. Overcoming Common Barriers – The book addresses typical challenges, such as dealing with defiance, distractions, or emotional outbursts, and provides tools to navigate those situations calmly and effectively. Building Trust and Respect – A focus on creating a foundation of trust and mutual respect, ensuring children feel safe, valued, and understood. Ultimately, the book helps parents create healthier, more harmonious relationships with their children by fostering open, honest, and respectful communication.

It’s not just about being heard, but also about building a deeper connection that leads to better understanding and cooperation.

4. Why did you choose this genre for your book?

I chose this genre for my book because of my strong belief in the power of effective communication, especially within families. As a Certified Expert in Child Psychology, I’ve seen firsthand how miscommunication or a lack of understanding between parents and children can lead to frustration, conflict, and emotional distance. I wanted to create a resource that would address these challenges and offer practical solutions for improving relationships and fostering healthy emotional development. Parents are often seeking guidance on how to connect with their children in a meaningful way, and I wanted to provide a book that combines both professional knowledge and real-life strategies.

I chose this genre because it allows me to share evidence-based approaches that I’ve successfully used in my practice, while also making them accessible and applicable for parents at any stage of their journey. I believe that when communication improves, so does the overall dynamic in the family. Writing in this genre felt like the perfect way to make a lasting impact on families, equipping them with tools that can bring about positive change and stronger connections.

5. How long did it take you to complete the book?

It took me about a year to complete "How to Make Your Children Hear You." The process involved a lot of research, reflecting on my professional experiences, and carefully crafting a practical guide that would be both informative and accessible to parents. Writing the book was not just about putting information on paper—it was about distilling years of work in child psychology, communication strategies, and family dynamics into a resource that would make a real difference. It also required time to ensure that the content was clear, actionable, and relatable for parents who might be facing different challenges. While the actual writing took a solid year, the ideas and inspiration for the book have been evolving over many years of working with families and seeing the struggles parents face. So, in many ways, the book was a long time in the making!

6. What makes your book special?

What makes "How to Make Your Children Hear You" special is its practical, hands-on approach to solving one of the most common challenges parents face—effective communication with their children. Unlike many parenting books that focus solely on theory, my book offers real-life strategies and actionable tools that parents can start using immediately. Here are a few things that make the book unique: Professional Expertise: With my background in child psychology and years of experience working directly with families, the book is grounded in evidence-based practices. It combines my professional insights with real-world solutions that I’ve successfully implemented with parents and children. Clear, Practical Guidance: The book is written in a way that is easy to understand and apply.

Parents don't need a degree in psychology to benefit from it. Each chapter provides simple, effective communication techniques, along with tips for improving emotional connections with children. Focus on Emotional Intelligence: I emphasize the importance of empathy, emotional awareness, and active listening, which are often overlooked in traditional parenting advice. The book goes beyond surface-level communication and encourages deeper, more meaningful interactions between parents and children. Relatable and Accessible: The content is tailored to address the real-life struggles parents face daily, such as dealing with tantrums, fostering cooperation, and maintaining a calm, respectful atmosphere at home. The book provides easy-to-implement solutions for these everyday challenges.

Holistic Approach: It’s not just about making children “hear” you—it’s about creating a two-way communication channel where both parents and children feel understood, valued, and respected. It promotes a balanced, harmonious relationship built on trust and mutual respect. In essence, this book is special because it empowers parents with the tools to not only be heard, but also to listen more deeply and build stronger, more loving relationships with their children.

It’s not just about improving communication; it’s about transforming the way families connect and thrive together.

7. When can we expect your next book?

I’m so glad to hear that you're interested in my next book! It will be titled "Everybody Tells You to Change, But No One Tells You How". I’m still refining the title, but the essence of the book will focus on providing practical steps and strategies for personal transformation. My book is a practical guide to personal transformation and self-improvement, based on my own experiences and reflections.

It offers tools and insights I've accumulated over the years through trial, error, mentorship, and personal growth. The central idea of the book is that personal development is not a linear path, but rather a journey filled with challenges and setbacks. I encourage readers to embrace the ongoing process of becoming the best version of themselves, rather than seeking perfection. The book provides concrete, actionable steps to help individuals take control of their lives, change their thinking, improve habits, and unlock their potential. It moves beyond abstract concepts, focusing on real-world applications that can lead to lasting change. Whether you're just starting your self-improvement journey or are already on the path, this book offers practical advice that you can implement right away.

My approach distinguishes this book from typical self-help guides, as it challenges assumptions and fosters a deeper understanding of personal transformation. It's about not just motivation, but true transformation, achieved through practical techniques and mindset shifts that can resonate throughout all areas of life. This book is also designed to serve as a resource for leaders, mentors, and anyone seeking to help others achieve their potential. In a world that often feels divided and uncertain, I believe that encouraging self-improvement can foster compassion, effectiveness, and engagement with others. It’s a call to action to harness the power of self-awareness, resilience, and purposeful action. It guides you through the process of transformation, providing the tools and mindset needed to take control of your life and uncover the greatness within you. I encourage you to reflect on the concepts presented and apply them to your own life to create a future filled with purpose, fulfillment, and growth.

8. Did you experience writer’s block while writing? What advice would you give to others who face it?

Yes, I did experience writer’s block while writing the book. It’s a common challenge for many writers, and I’m no exception. During those moments when the words wouldn’t come, I reminded myself that writing is a process, and it’s okay to not have everything figured out immediately. My advice to others facing writer’s block would be to allow yourself the space and patience to work through it. Sometimes, stepping away from the project for a short period can provide a fresh perspective and help you return with new ideas or clarity.

Additionally, don’t worry about perfection in the early stages—just write freely and allow yourself to get the words out, even if they’re rough. You might be surprised how even a rough draft can spark ideas that lead to breakthroughs. Changing your environment can also help. A change of scenery—whether it’s writing in a different room, outdoors, or at a café—can stimulate creativity and offer a new outlook. Setting smaller, more achievable goals, such as writing a paragraph or a page at a time, rather than focusing on completing an entire chapter, can make the task feel less overwhelming.

Finally, speaking your ideas aloud to someone or even just to yourself can help break through the mental barriers. The key is to be kind to yourself and not get discouraged. Writer’s block is temporary, and it’s all part of the creative process. Just keep moving forward, and eventually, the words will come.

9. Besides being a talented author, what are your other hobbies?

Besides writing, I have a variety of hobbies that help me stay balanced and inspired. One of my main passions is personal development and learning. I enjoy reading books on psychology, philosophy, and self-improvement, as well as taking courses to expand my knowledge in these areas. This constant learning fuels both my personal growth and my professional work. I also have a strong interest in wellness, both physical and mental. Practicing mindfulness, meditation, and yoga are part of my daily routine, as they help me stay grounded and manage stress.

These practices also offer me valuable insights, which often find their way into my writing. Swimming is another activity I enjoy, as it provides both relaxation and a great way to stay fit. Additionally, I love spending time outdoors, whether it’s hiking, walking, or just enjoying nature. Being in nature allows me to recharge, clear my mind, and get fresh ideas for my work. I also have a passion for home decor, and I enjoy redecorating and creating inviting, inspiring spaces in my home. This creative outlet brings me joy and helps me express my personality in a different way. Lastly, I have a deep appreciation for art and creativity. I enjoy painting and drawing, home decor, which give me a creative outlet and allows me to express myself in different ways. All of these hobbies contribute to my sense of well-being and creativity, which, in turn, enriches my writing and personal life.
