I’ve been writing books for ten years—mainly fiction. I cling to poetry after my experiences with alcoholism in my senior year of college. Poetry played an instrumental role in my sobriety.

I Talk To Horses is a 22 poetry collection about my journey through equine therapy after recovering from alcoholism and toxic friendships/relationships.

4. Why did you choose this genre for your book?

Poetry is perfect to touch the hearts of readers who have similar experiences as the author.

5. How long did it take you to complete the book?

It took me the spring and summer of 2024 to write.

6. What makes your book special?

My book is special because readers not only get 22 poems, but an opportunity to learn about equine therapy, which consists horses.

7. When can we expect your next book?

I have many projects in the works. Fiction novels are a priority while I have one more poetry book left in me.

8. Did you experience writer’s block while writing? What advice would you give to others who face it?

The only writer’s block I experienced is figuring out how to lyrically express my emotions in the form of poems.

9. Besides being a talented author, what are your other hobbies?

I consider myself a country music enthusiast. My favourite artists consist of Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, Garth Brooks, Kelsea Ballerini, Carly Pearce, Luke Combs, and so much more.

I feel very honored to have the opportunity to do this interview and be introduced to a new wide range of readers who embrace me and my stories.
