90 years since his death, the writings and efforts of Dr. Bishop Robert S. Williams, DD, LLD, can still be seen today. From fraternal organizations to racial equality, Dr. Bishop Williams was a trailblazer in his time. His writings were prolific and can be found in books, newspapers and other publications of his era. He remains a shining star in the examples of the Reconstruction Era African American leaders.

About Author:

Tony graduated Huntington High School in Shreveport, Louisiana, in 2001, before joining the U.S. Army. He went on to earn his Associates Degree in Biblical Studies in 2015 while stationed in Fort Polk, Louisiana.

Later he completed his Bachelor of Arts, Magna Cum Laude, in Gerontology (2015), and his Master of Arts in Health Care Administrations (2018) with Ashford University’s College of Health, Human Services, and Science. His continuing education includes three courses with Harvard University’s Medical School (2019-20), two courses with Yale University’s School of Medicine (2020), and one course with The John Hopkins University (2020).

He is currently a student in Liberty University’s Graduate School where he is a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership (Ed.D.) student (2020-24). He has been married with his wife since 2008 and they have three beautiful children.

My Take:

90 years since Robert S. Williams is the new book I have read by author Tony Willians and as usual, he is back with an intriguing and full of-facts book.

A unique and powerful book. Heartfelt and full of knowledge, this book will show an era that we can only imagine. The book is about Bishop Williams and the difference he made for African American community, from the difference in education for minorities to leading in every field. We are aware of how difficult life was for African Americans and this book will tell you now just how different it was.

This is a short read but an interesting book with images from the past giving us a history lesson. This book is a fact-based book with pictures which is my favorite part. The author has done a great deal of research for this book and you will find this interesting and unique once you start reading.
