Author's Interview by Akshay Gupta

First, before we move forward with our Authors Interview, I would like to start with an introduction.

1. Could you please introduce yourself to us?
I am Akshay Gupta, B. Tech in mechanical engineering. Author of the bestseller book “The winning Smash”. I am also yoga lover and people call me poetry king.
2. Congratulations on your book. So what inspired you to write this book?
Thank you very much. This story is very close to my heart. This story is inspired by one of my cousins. He has seen many grieve since his childhood his mother left him after his birth and his father expired when he was 10 years old but he did not lose his courage and he is still fighting with his life.
3. What is the book all about?
This book is all about a teen boy Dhruv, who is an orphan. He wants to be a National badminton player since his childhood but through his journey, he passes many bad phases such as losing his father, drug addiction, and Drug rehab centre but he did not lose his courage and he overcomes every obstacle of his life to complete his dream.
4. Why did you choose this genre for your book?
I want to motivate young people of the world. Nowadays youth are becoming very less patient with their goals. They need everything with just one click, If they did not get what they want, they become inpatients and become suicidal also. I want to tell them that life is not a bed of roses. To get something you have to keep patience and you have to fight at every step of your life.
5. How much time did it take to complete this book?
It took 3 months to complete this book and all thanks to my mentor Sweta Samota. If she didn't guide me, this idea couldn't take the shape of a book.
6. What makes your Book Special?
The dedication of my protagonist to achieving his dreams makes this book very special.
7. When is your second book coming?
I am working on a project. It would become in April 2023.
8. While writing did you get any writers block? What is the Tip that you will give others who are facing writer's block?
Ya, I faced many writer's blocks. First of all self-doubt, I was not sure I can deliver my message to my audience appropriately. The second is the lack of consistency because I am a teacher also so It's very difficult for me to manage my time. But I want to give only a tip to my fellow writers If something is important to you, you have to be consistent. It doesn't matter if you are giving 10 minutes or an hour in a day but you have to be consistent and don't think too much, nobody is perfect in this world. If you feel you can write then take your laptop and start writing.
9. Apart from being a talented author, what are your other hobbies?
I love to travel, and I am a yoga lover also. And I am a poet also. When I got spare time I love to write poetry as well.
10. Last but not the least, How did you feel, while giving this interview?
Well, I am feeling fantastic about getting interviewed by you. I am feeling my hard work is paying me.
