Author's Interview with Anna Baard-Blixt

Before we dive into our exciting conversation with today’s remarkable author, let’s start by getting to know the creative mind behind the diverse and captivating stories.

1. Could you please introduce yourself to us?

I am Anna, a former elite athlete who had to give up my career due to injuries. Today, I work as a health coach, helping others live their best and healthiest lives. I live alone with my wonderful son and try to enjoy life despite everything happening in the world around us.

2. Congratulations on your book! What inspired you to write it?

I have been through a lot in life and started writing poetry when I was 19, after a life-changing experience. In 2024, I decided to gather all my texts and publish a book. That’s when my creativity came alive again, and I started writing new pieces, which eventually turned into three books.

3. What is your book about?

The book is about love and the emotions we experience in relationships, how we sometimes sabotage ourselves or allow others to take control of our lives. It also raises important questions we should all ask ourselves to avoid wasting precious time in the wrong arms.

4. Why did you choose this genre for your book?

I’ve been writing poetry for almost 30 years, so it came naturally to me.

5. How long did it take you to complete the book?

This version came together in just a few weeks — the words flowed after a relationship that deeply affected me. That’s why I want to inspire others to have the courage to walk away when something doesn’t feel right.

6. What makes your book special?

It’s a raw and honest take on love — with no illusions about the perfect life or the perfect relationship. The aim is to help people make the right decisions in time and to have the courage to listen to their inner feelings.

7. When can we expect your next book?

The next one isn’t actually a poetry book but focuses on a completely different subject, and hopefully, it will be released after the New Year.

8. Did you experience writer’s block while writing? What advice would you give to others who face it?

No, unfortunately not — the words have just kept flowing. I’ve had so much to release that I can’t really give any advice.

9. Besides being a talented author, what are your other hobbies?

I love to dance and have been part of the national bowling team, where I was ranked among the best in the world.

10. Last but not least, how did you feel during this interview?

It was interesting to reflect on questions I hadn’t really thought about before — a learning experience for me as well. Thank you.
