Author's Interview with Jacob Prince.
First, before we move forward with our Author's Interview, I would like to start with an introduction.
1. Could you please introduce yourself to us?
I’m Jacob Prince and I’m from India.
2. Congratulations on your book. So what inspired you to write this book?
Writing has been a wellspring of inspiration for me since childhood. Initially, my ardour was confined to the meticulous recording of personal reflections in journals and the precise drafting of official documents after entering my profession. However, as I progressed into an active engineering professional, my creative pursuits took a backseat. It wasn't until the approach of retirement that a stirring inner voice impelled me to commit my experiences and reflections to paper. I came to the realization that the gift of expression bestowed upon me by a higher power should not be idly disregarded. The vicissitudes of my life's journey, replete with its triumphs and trials, deserve more than mere oblivion; they merit sharing with the wider world, offering the prospect of enlightenment and inspiration- also my life would attain a deeper resonance and significance.
3. What is the book all about?
The trials of life are integral to the story I aim to convey, as each has imparted valuable lessons. These experiences and reflections serve as the catalyst for writing my memories. Throughout these trials, bitterness never consumed my thoughts. I never pondered why the Almighty subjected me to such difficult times, for I always maintained trust that there was purpose in every trial. Similarly, amidst some of the happiest moments, I never allowed envy to cloud my gratitude. I never questioned why I was bestowed with so much happiness, for I understood that life's blessings often come with their own reasons.. Bottom line - Do not underestimate life; it's a singular chance. Leave the world richer than you found it. Share the best of your experience and thoughts to the rest of the world.
4. Why did you choose this genre for your book?
From the time I began my career as an engineer, I have had a very busy professional life. During my teenage years, my real passion was for fantasy stories and short stories. Now, I have decided to start writing again because I believe my own experiences hold valuable lessons for others. Therefore, I thought it would be fitting to begin with my own memoirs.
5. How much time did it take to complete this book?
It took nearly six months to complete my first book.
6. What makes your Book Special?
"Gratitude" is not a typical memoir or biography; rather, it delves into the profound depth of life, transcending conventional notions. In crafting this book, I grappled with how to classify it, as it comprises memoirs intertwined with reflections and opinions, all stemming from my personal journey. At its core, "Gratitude" is an earnest expression of thanks to the Almighty, the communities I've been part of, and the individuals who have touched my life.
7. When is your second book coming?
I have almost completed my second book, which is also a memoir. I plan to release my second book in July 2024.This new book will be more open, addressing what I missed in the first part of my memoir. While in "GRATITUDE," I did not disclose the names and locations of many events, the second part will clearly mention some names and locations. My third book also is WIP. This will be a medical Scifi.
8. While writing did you get any writer's block? What is the Tip that you will give others who are facing writer's block?
Writer's block for me is still tied to my career responsibilities. I am not yet fully free from my core professional duties, which sometimes seriously affect my creative work.
9. What are your other hobbies besides being a talented author?
Reading as much as possible.
10. Last but not the least, How did you feel, while giving this interview?
It was amazing . Being the first of its kind I attend, it is very special for me.
