Author's Interview with Inderpreet Kaur Uppal.


 First, before we move forward with our Authors Interview, I would like to start with an introduction. 

1. What is your name and Could you please introduce yourself to us?

Inderpreet Kaur Uppal. 

Inderpreet writes for her love of writing, edits manuscripts and reads endlessly. An authors' editor with a decade of experience, she provides manuscript critique, linguistic editing, substantive editing and developmental editing for fiction and nonfiction. Inderpreet enjoys romance, paranormal and contemporary fiction while ignoring horror, violence and gore. Books, editing, and book reviews keep her busy whenever she gets a breather from mothering her 'I am too tricky to handle' son. Inderpreet is the author of Generously Yours, We Women Wonder, and  Self-Editing, Editing, and Editors.

She now lives in the capital city of New Delhi, where she enjoys the rich culture, delicious street food, and a lit nightlife.

2. Congratulations on your book. So what inspired you to write this book?

All my books are inspired by our lives and how they unfold around us. 

3. What is the book all about?

I have three books published till date. Generously Yours is about surviving loss and inner strength. We, Women, Wonder talks about the daily struggles of women while trying to have it all. You will find a reflection in this one. Self-editing, Editing and Editors is a guide to improving your writing and understand the crucial points while hiring an editor. 

4. Why did you choose this genre for your book?

I read and write in multiple genres and never want to restrict myself but romance and women are what I feel deeply about.

5. How much time did it take to complete this book?

Anything between 2 months to 2 years! My current romance novel is trudging along at a glacial pace.

6. What makes your Book Special?

My readers who read my books make them special.

7. When is your second book coming?

My novel is scheduled for June 2023. 

8. While writing did you get any writer's block? What is the Tip that you will give others who are facing writer's block?

9. Apart from being a talented author, what are your other hobbies?

Reading is my first hobby along with occasional embroidery and making pickles.
