The Blurb:  Dragons in the Clouds is an epic adventure that takes place during a time period when Dragons were alive and freely roamed the land. The people during this time were getting eaten by a vicious species of Dragons. The ruling King finally orders the total annihilation of all living dragons. A powerful wizard, named Merlinius, who is a friend to the king, does not agree with the King's order, for Merlinius knows all Dragons are not what they seem. So he does what he must to protect a family of Dragons that he had befriended. And to protect his Dragon friends, Merlinius performs the spell of weightlessness and tells the Dragons to fly up and to hide in the cover of the Clouds. He then gives the Dragons strict instruction to live within the clouds and to only come down at night to eat. An apprentice to the wizard who has grandeur of his own has a plan for Dragons that he has hidden deep within a mountain cavern. Now enters a young boy, who had also befriended a dragon...

Author's Interview with David Blair

Image
First, before we move forward with our Authors Interview, I would like to start with an introduction. 1. Could you please introduce yourself to us? David Blair, as the author of "Dragons in the Clouds". This is my first novel publication. But my first story, was a student film called “Destination Destiny”. Most recently, I worked as a production supervisor for EnterAktion Studios, on a feature length motion picture called “Dwegons and Leprechauns’’. My favorite writers are Rod Sterling and Charles Dickens. I love stories that make fiction believable, where fantasy can seem possible. 2. Congratulations on your book. So what inspired you to write this book? I wrote the story, "Dragons in the Clouds" over 20 years ago. It started with the song, "Puff the Magic Dragon". I thought it would make a great story. So, I started kicking around some ideas, and as I was creating the dragon story based on Puff, I was in a smoke shop that had crystals and incense and I c...

Sendai Saga: Book 1 (Sendai Saga series) by Peter Novak.

The Blurb:  Senda Saga, a fast-paced adventure, created by Collective G, which tells the story of 13 mysterious Entities, exiled from their dimension. Some are lost and lonely, but others have plans of power and dominion over the Earth. A perfect story to break out of a boring routine. Partly graphic-novel, part more traditional comics, each page of Sendai Saga is a surprise for eyes and mind. In book one: year 2047, who kidnapped Abe Kan, Nobel Prize for Medicine? There is no request for money behind it. His knowledge is tempting to many and is at the center of dark plots. What does Travis want from the Chinese Chen Gao? What are the plans of the third Entity: Shadow? Why is Richard, a young nerd, being threatened by the Colonel's men? How many questions huh? Find out the answers on Sendai Saga, the series. My Take:  Sendai Saga is a Sci-Fi graphic novel with revolves around mysterious projects written by Peter Novak with the pen name Collective G.  I fi...

The Blurb: Ime Borah, who is Uddipan Saikia’s fiancée, is brutally raped at the foot of the hills, the abode of cursed souls and witches. The rapists plan to kill and make her a feast of jackals. But they fail to do so. She finally manages to escape from the hills. Unable to forget that she is a rape victim, she makes the hard decision to spend the rest of her life alone. But luck steps in to walk her to meet with the unexpected happening. My take:   The Justice is Nikhil Khasnabish’s first book I have read. The story is about a girl who is struggling with herself and about the world at the same time because, just before her wedding, she gets raped. Heartbroken, confused, and shattered, she wants to share the truth with her soon-to-be husband, Uddipan Saikia. Whether he will accept her after knowing the truth gives her worries and tension. Will she find enough courage to share the pain? The question nags her.   It is a heart-touching story packed with suspense, surprise, emoti...

Fight or Flight: The Ultimate Book for Understanding and Managing Stress by Gary R Plaford.

Image
The Blurb: Fight or Flight is a two-part book. Part one explains how stress is an integral part of our lives. It can be motivational or debilitating. Therefore it is not avoiding stress, but rather managing stress that is critical. The book discusses the four conditions that cause stress, mindset, habitual thought patterns, and how the brain functions during stress. Part two is aimed at helping us manage stress. Stress can affect us physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Hence, rather than relying on general stress reduction techniques, it is better to employ specific physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual techniques for managing stress. My Take: Fight or Flight: The Ultimate Book for Understanding and Managing Stress is the new book written by Gary R Plaford which will make you realize that Stress is not external it's internal and the best way to reduce it is to take control of your thoughts. Stress is not always bad. Stress creates pressure. Remember a lump of co...
